World Cinema - Land of Mine - Denmark
After World War II the Danish government puts hated German prisoners of war to work clearing millions of land mines from the beaches. One Sergeant finds himself in charge of a unit that's largely inexperienced boys. As they struggle to complete and survive their dangerous work, his hate for Germans gradually cools. Eventually, the boys and the Sergeant must decide what can be done in a situation that would be denounced by later generations as the worst war crime committed by the Danish government in its history.
