Swifts in Newbury
A walk and a talk by local bird expert, Ailsa Claybourn, about these amazing birds who are disappearing from our skies, and how we can help them. Did you know they live almost entirely aerial lives, fly up to 2 million km/1.24 million miles in a lifetime, sleep with only half their brain at a time and bathe by flying through rain? After a short talk, Ailsa will take us to see Swifts and their nest sites in a walk from the museum, along the canal and back through Westfields. Tickets can be purcha
