Reading Corporation Centenary.
2019 is the centenary of the first Reading Corporation motor bus service which was heralded by a civic run on Friday 5th December 1919 and commenced public operations on 6th December 1919.
The service ran from Tilehurst (Plough Inn ) to Caversham Heights (Albert Road) via Caversham Bridge.
On Sunday 8th December will be marked by Reading buses from different eras re-tracing the original route. Buses will be centred on St Mary's Butts and will pick up and set down at the Station Hill ter
This is a free service provided by the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust. The service will run from 10.30 until 16.30.
