Deer Rudding - Open Garden for NGS
Set in the lee of the Northern Fells on the bank of the Caldew and enjoying views into the wider landscape, notably Carrock Fell. The garden extends to 8 acres and surrounds a former Cumbrian farmhouse and outbuildings. Mixed shrub and perennial borders; woodland and meadow grass areas; extensive rockery and stone walls built by Cumbrian champion waller, Steve Allen of Tebay.
Sun 10 May, Sat 6, Sat 27 June (11-5). Admission £5, Children free. Light refreshments at Millhouse Village Hall by Friends of Fellview school (May), Fellview Nursery (6 June) and Castle Sowerby Church (27 June). Times:11:00 to 17:00. Open for charity.
