Markenfield Hall - Open Garden for NGS
The work of the Halls owner Lady Deirdre Curteis and gardener Giles Gilbey. Mature planting combines with newly-designed areas, where walls with espaliered apricots and figs frame a mix of hardy perennials. The final phase of restoration started in 2017 when the Farmhouse-wings garden was re-planted to eventually blend seamlessly with the Halls main East Border.
Fri 12 June (2-5). Admission £4, Children free. Cream teas. Times:14:00 to 17:00. Visits also by arrangement May to Sept for groups of 10 to 20. Tea and cake can be arranged. Tours combine the Hall and Garden.. Open for charity.
