The Grange, Islip - Open Garden for NGS
A 2½ acre garden in a former quarry with landscaped banks and cloud pruned hedges. The garden is naturalistic and combines wild planting with more formal planting of shrubs and perennials. The woodland garden is planted with rare plants and there are wildflower meadows which look especially colourful in the spring. There is a small pond and bog garden edged by a rockery with interesting ferns.
Sun 31 May (1.30-5.30). Admission £4, Children free. Home-made teas. Also open Oak Grove. Combined opening with Hollyhocks on 31 May £6, Children free. Times:13:30 to 17:30. Visits also by arrangement Apr to Oct for groups of 10 to 20. Combined visits with Bannisters and/or Hollyhocks can be arranged.. Open for charity.
