Crowborough Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Crowborough is the highest inland town in East Sussex on the edge of Ashdown Forest. Five gardens are opening, four of which are within easy walking distance of the town centre. Please use the central car parks as parking near these gardens is difficult. Hoath Cottage is an informal garden dedicated to encouraging and supporting wildlife and features an extraordinary mature beech tree. 8 Mill Lane is a compact lawned garden with clematis walk, and well stocked borders with shrubs and perennials. Mole End owned by a member of the Hardy Plant Society, is a garden for all seasons, with deep borders, vegetable and fruit garden, and a beehive. Sweet Springs, has an extensively planted large garden wrapped around the cottage, with vastly different soil conditions throughout.
