Bovey Tracey Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Bovey Tracey is a pretty cob and granite built town nestling in Dartmoor foothills. Ashwell: large, steeply sloping 1840s stone walled garden (some steps but lovely views) with vineyard, orchard, soft fruit, vegetables, colourful mixed borders and wild flower areas. Footlands: newly redesigned round established, unusual and colourful shrubs and conifers, with perennials, grasses and young trees. Gleam Tor: lots to see - long colourful herbaceous border, white garden, wild flower meadow, prairie planting, interesting 'memory patio' (and Colin's legendary cakes and cream teas). Parke View: romantic 1 acre town centre garden. Meandering old stone walls lead to separate planted areas and colour themed herbaceous borders.
