St Michaels Folk Evening
St Michael's Folk Evening is held on the first Wednesday of July each year. Many of the people and groups involved in folk music and dance in the St Albans area get together to perform in the historic setting of St Michael's village. Which gives a great atmosphere.
Nine groups will dance in open-air shows, while there is live music in the two pubs, the churchyard and by the Puddingstone. We even have the church bells at 7.15, to ring in the merriment.
St Michael's Street is closed to traffic from 8 till 10pm, to become the venue for around 32 dance shows, and St Michael's Lower School yard is the site of the pupils' Maypole.
Music at the churchyard, and in the pubs and by the Puddingstone.
Food and beer available in the pubs, churchyard and beer at the Lower School
