Weimar's Dark Cabaret

Presented by students from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama - a concert to honour the rise and fall of the LGBT movement in the Weimar Republic, Berlin, experienced through songs from one of its most talented protagonists, Composer Kurt Weill. Weill lined up some of the most important writers and dramatists to create his version of Opera: a mix between Jazz and Classic, Cabaret and epic theatre, to achieve the ultimate goal of stage entertainment in that time: ‘make audiences think’.
