Irish Family History for Beginners and Refreshers
What is a townland? What is the difference between a civil and a church parish?
Roz McCutcheon and Jill Williams answer these questions and any others you have. They look at:
- The context and background of Irish records;
- The records you need to get started with your Irish family research, including civil registration, church and census records;
- Where to find them;
- How to use them;
- The latest additions to online records.
The two sessions will be separated by a tea break. There will be a Questions session after each session.
This half-day course will be recorded and will be made available to those who book a place, for up to two weeks after the event.
