Irish Family History for Beginners and Refreshers

Irish Family History for Beginners and Refreshers

What is a townland? What is the difference between a civil and a church parish?

Roz McCutcheon and Jill Williams answer these questions and any others you have. They look at:
- The context and background of Irish records;
- The records you need to get started with your Irish family research, including civil registration, church and census records;
- Where to find them;
- How to use them;
- The latest additions to online records.

The two sessions will be separated by a tea break. There will be a Questions session after each session.

This half-day course will be recorded and will be made available to those who book a place, for up to two weeks after the event.
Zoom half-day course runs from 14.00 to 17.00 UK time. If this date or time is difficult for you, please book your place and view the recorded version, which we will make available to you for up to two weeks after the event.

Cost: £20.00; Members of Society of Genealogists: £16.00.
