HPS Talk: 'Understanding soils, growing media and fertilisers’
Chris Whitelock, Horticultural consultant and trainer will explain how the different types of soils, growing media and fertilisers can all help (and hinder) the growth of plants and make all the difference to our gardens. This is not a talk that requires an expert audience! We all start with what we actually have but the choices we then make are far more important than we realise. Chris will tell us about soil, its texture, structure and pH. He’ll explain how fertilisers work on the soil part
Visitors are very welcome: £5, incl. refreshments. Members £3. Also usually some plants for sale.
