Combat at the Castle
The first event of Arundel Castle’s 2020 open season, Combat at the Castle, offers two immersive days of Norman escapades that will thrill visitors of all ages.
Entertaining visitors from 10am – 3.30pm with weapons, armour, combat and archery demonstrations, the event will recreate the gruelling training behind 12th Century warfare.
There will also be crafts, Norman clothing and a chance to meet a garrison of Norman soldiers in full character!

10am: Castle and event opens
10am-1pm: Craft demonstrations in the South Passage
11am and 12pm: Weapons and armour demonstrations in the Duke Henry Courtyard
1-2pm: Lunch
2pm: Meet the garrison in
