AGM and talk: Rediscovering William Adams, the Blue-eyed Samurai
Professor Dick Irving from Combe Down has lived and worked in Japan for many years. In 2019 he was involved in the archaeological discovery of the grave of William Adams (1565-1620), pioneering English navigator who became a close advisor to the Emperor and was honoured as one of the first and very few Western samurai.
1900 for 1930 start. £1 members, £3 non members, on the door. Parking in Summer Lane or in the school car park.
