At the Water’s Edge: early tetrapod evolution
A lecture by Prof. Per Ahlberg (University of Uppsala) on the evolution of tetrapods, the earliest creatures to leave the water for the land. Prof. Ahlberg is one of the world-leading researchers on the origin of tetrapods and he will discuss the significance of Elginerpeton pancheni, the crawler from Elgin, as well as the fossil footprints from Tarbet Ness.
Lecture starts at 7.30pm and is free, although donations are always welcome.
