Wantage Choral Society
This ‘term‘ Wantage Choral Society have been busy preparing for their next concert when they will performing some truly Twentieth Century masterpieces: the lovely Requiem by Duruflé; Rejoice in the Lamb composed by and based on the poem Jubilate Agno by Christopher Smart (1722–1771) written while Smart was in an asylum and Vaughan Williams’s Five Mystical Songs based on the poetry of George Herbert written in the early 17th Century.
The concert will be on Saturday 28 March at 7.30. Tickets - £10 in advance or £12 on the night - from the Vale and Downland Museum, members of WCS or on the door
