2020 Mayfield Festival of Music and the Arts
Join us in celebrating 50 years of the Mayfield Festival of Music and the Arts. The Festival includes a feast of 28 musical, poetry, film and party events. Mayfield's 50th-anniversary programme is diverse and fabulous. The Festival opens with a newly-commissioned cantata celebrating the life and work of St Dunstan and it closes with a programme of Mozart and Beethoven. Chamber music, orchestral music, Gregorian chant, choral music, piano music, chamber opera, VE Day and May Day celebrations, poetry, film (including sing-a-long-a-Sound-of-Music) , wine and an international instrumental competition: all these elements contribute to what will be a diverse and fabulous fortnight.
Mayfield is a beautiful medieval village in the High Weald and has several excellent pubs and restaurants providing food and drinks throughout the day.
Times and prices of the events vary. See the Events page of the Festival website for details mayfieldfestival.co.uk/events/
