Vivaldi Squared - Lea Singers
Not many people know that Vivaldi wrote at least three settings of the text Gloria In Excelsis Deo, and that only two survived: RV 588 (rarely heard) and RV 589 (the famous one). Placing selected movements of each mass side-by-side in the same concert, The Lea Singers and professional instrumentalists explore the differences between the two works, to try and understand why they have experienced such vastly different histories.
