Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle - SCCS & Parenthesis Choir

Having written over 30 operas, Rossini retired at the age of 38 but then 30 years later produced one of his finest achievements - Petite messe solennelle ('little solemn mass') - neither little or solemn according to Napoleon III. Rossini described this as his last ‘mortal sin of old age’.

The concert will take place on 4th April at The Great Hall, University of Reading, London Road, Reading, RG1 5AQ, starting at 7.30 pm. The venue has free parking and wheelchair access.
