Our Tudor Power and Glory season begins with the Tudors on their road to power. Discover through thrilling live combat demonstrations and dramatic performances how this mighty dynasty seized the English throne.
Our medieval Easter events will give you the chance to get your hands on history and learn some new skills in have-go-archery and sword fighting sessions, and the museum’s own men-at-arms will be demonstrating armoured combat techniques with poll-axes and two-handed swords.
History will come to life over the Easter weekend (11 and 12 April) as we re-enact the battle of Bosworth and the climactic downfall of Richard III and the Plantagenets in the Wars of the Roses.
Information is correct at the time of publication. A full daily programme of events will be published nearer the time.
