Summer of Self-Guided walking around Ross
Come and join our “Summer of Self-Guided Walking in Ross” as we unfortunately had to cancel our Annual Walking Festival due to restrictions. Launching on 1st August, you can download and print out or synch to your mapping app a collection of self-guided walks that help you explore our buzzing little town and the surrounding countryside; in your own time; at your own pace. Just go to www.walkinginross.co.uk
Ross on Wye has long been a “Walkers are Welcome” town – and we really mean it! Come and see Ross-on-Wye with its meandering river, high vantage point and historic alleyways; or further afield the rural delights of forests, hills, rolling farmland, wildflowers and wildlife – all well off the beaten track and peaceful.
Our Self-Guided Walks offer a range of terrains and distances from fully accessible to more challenging hill walks to suit all abilities. Ross is surprisingly accessible – just an hour from Bristol, Cardiff or Birmingham at the end of the M50… and within a 40 minute drive of the Malverns, Forest of Dean, Lower Wye Valley, or Black Mountains. So much to do – stay awhile – stay safe, happy and active. We would love to see you…”Step the extra mile to find our hidden gem”.
All free - but you may give a donation if you like (we are a small voluntary group and have lost this money from having to cancel the Festival without any ticket income) - see website
Any time; with anyone you like; at your own pace... enjoy!
