Introduction to Foraging

Fun and informative three hour guided walk led by Jenny, proprietor of Dalton Moor Farm School of Sustainable Living and Wellbeing, fruit grower and harvester of wild foods, who will introduce you to the world of foraging, the legal and environmental dos and don’ts and a variety of familiar and less familiar plants and their uses.
Set in the beautiful landscape of Dalton Moor Farm, take the chance to get up close to nature.
You will need to wear robust boots or wellies, long trousers and long sleeves, even if the weather is sunny, layered clothing according to temperature, and waterproofs if the weather is forecast wet. This is to protect you from the sharper and wilder side of nature.
A camera and a notebook and pen are also useful. You will leave the walk with the knowledge and confidence to start right away, using perhaps 2 or 3 of the plants you have met on the day, and a head full of enthusiasm to learn more about the wild world.
10 am start. Please arrive a few minutes early if possible.
Adult £16.50. Child under 5 FREE, Age 6-16 £8.25.
Tickets must be booked and paid in advance.
