Ramster Garden Autumn Colour
The autumn show of colour is about to begin at Ramster and the best news is, there is no need to pre-book or wait for the season to start as the much loved Chiddingfold garden will remain open throughout September right through to 1st November 2020.
This year, visitors can follow Ramster Garden every step of the way as the soft shades of summer disappear and make way for autumn’s dramatic colours. Watch out for amazing 100-year-old maples as they transform into an avenue of vibrant russet tones together with the American red gum tree Liquidambar’s long-lasting autumn shades of orange, crimson and purple.
For those looking to get their fix of ‘tree therapy’ you will not be disappointed – Ramster is home to many exotic trees including Eastern Hemlock, the Giant Sequoia, the Grand Fir (one of the tallest trees in Surrey), Dawn Redwood and the prized Cryptomeria which can reach an age of 7000 years. Experience the magic of these wonderful trees as you stroll around the 20-acre garden which also features hidden sculptures, natural carvings and a woodland lake.
Ramster Garden is open from Wednesday through to Sunday (closed Monday and Tuesday) 10am - 4pm until 1st November 2020 when the garden closes for winter. A selection of drinks, sandwiches and cakes are available to take away from the Teahouse.
