Maidenhead Bubble Boundary Walk
2020 is an extraordinary year, something we have never seen before, so we’re making this year’s Boundary Walk extraordinary too… welcome to The Maidenhead Bubble Boundary Walk!
Open to walkers of all ages and abilities, whether you are an individual, group or family this is your opportunity to participate in an historical event, have some fun, and raise much needed money for your chosen causes, as many local charities are feeling the pinch this year.
This annual event allows walkers to raise money through sponsorship for their favourite charities whilst enjoying a very interesting walk through some beautiful parts of the Berkshire countryside re-tracing the old boundary of the ancient town of Maidenhead in the Royal County of Berkshire. Alternatively, participants can do the walk just for fun or to help raise money for the Rotary Club's own charitable work.
So how is this year going to work? At this difficult time instead of everyone doing an organised and marshalled walk on 4th October, we invite you and your friends and family to join our virtual walk.
When: Walk anytime during the period Sunday 4th October to Sunday 25th October on your own or in a group
Distance: no rules, but we suggest a minimum of 2.5 miles, or take on the whole challenge of 14.5 miles
Sponsorship: try to get as many sponsors as you can, you get to keep 100% of the funds you raise. Rotary is happy to support the causes close to your heart. If you don’t want to walk in aid of a charity then that is also fine, the more the merrier!
JOIN US in what we hope will be a fun event and an opportunity for walkers to participate in the history of the Boundary walk. Good luck!
