BlackFest Digital 2020 - Diversity Dialogues Take: 3

Dialogue with Dr Leona Vaughn: guests Ellis Eyo Thomson, Zita Holbourne on conservation of Liverpool Slave trade history and decolonisation

Liverpool is one of the many cities in the UK that was built on the back of the slave-trade. Today, Liverpool possesses some of the most controversial signs, symbols, streets names and monuments, that represents a history of colonialism, segregation and racism. For years this history has been white - washed, why do we need to remember Liverpool's links to Slave Trade?

Join our panel of academics, artists and activists to discuss decolonisation and how the city is addressing the conservation of slave trade history and more.

Panel: Dr Leona Vaughn, Zita Holbourne, Ellis Eyo Thompson, Stephen NZe, Laurence Westgaph, and special guests Anna Rothery and Tracey Gore.

This event will be live streamed.
