Andrew Gifford, Alone with Trees
In 2018 Andrew Gifford began a series of paintings of Hawthorns in the South Downs. It culminated in a group of intense woodland paintings made during the spring and summer of lockdown, shown here for the gallery’s first exhibition at Cromwell Place.

Cromwell Place is open to the public from Wednesday through Saturday 10am – 6pm, and 12pm - 4pm on Sundays. Tuesdays are reserved for invitation only visits.
