Hammerwood House - Open Garden for NGS
Large s-facing garden with lots of mature shrubs incl camellias, rhododendrons and azaleas. An arboretum with a variety of flowering and fruit trees. The old yew and beech hedges give a certain amount of formality to this traditional English garden. Tea on the terrace is a must with the most beautiful view of the South Downs. For the more energetic there is a woodland walk.
Sun 4 Apr, Sun 9 May (1.30-5). Admission £5, Children free. Home-made teas. Times:13:30 to 17:00. Open for charity.
