Signs of Solidarity Exhibition
Signs of Solidarity is a new project for Havant from The Spring and Gobbledegook Theatre.
The last few months have been tough for everyone. We have all been advised to stay apart, we have lived in fear of catching a devastating virus and we have missed the day-to-day things that make life better.
In amongst the difficulties and sorrow of 2020 there have been some incredible moments of hope and joy, instigated by our community that have helped to make an impossible situation a little bit more bearable.
We want to recognise and celebrate these moments and the people who made them possible.
Over the next few months, we are accepting nominations for people who have made a real difference to our community – Havant’s own lockdown heroes. We will taking them by surprise and thanking them, either with a special (neon yellow) public sign or with their very own handmade medals.
You might see Gobbledegook Theatre installing the signs – they cannot be missed in their very yellow outfits and special pedi-cab!
As well as thanking the community out in the streets, we will be holding a special exhibition that brings together the stories and experiences of Havant’s lockdown heroes in 2021.
