Historic Life Weekend: Wool
Wool is a material that forms the basis of clothing that the inhabitants of the historic houses at the Museum would have worn as well as used for other household items. We will have demonstrations from spinning to natural dyeing, knitting to nalbinding and weaving. There will be a chance to see different fleeces and compare their properties, find their relative value at different points in time and have the opportunity to buy materials to take home if you are inspired to try a new skill.
