Richmondshire Concerts presents the superb violinist Chloë Hanslip, with her piano accompanist Danny Driver, in an intimate recital at Richmond Church on 26 May. Prokofiev’s gem-like and seldom performed Five Melodies is followed by a piece with a tantalising title: Judith Weir’s Music for 247 Strings.
Hanslip and Driver are renowned for their Beethoven recordings, and the evening finishes with that composer’s ethereal and peaceful Violin Sonata No. 10.
