The Hidden Gardens of Bury
Hidden Gardens of Bury 2022 will see a variety of gardens, often hidden from view, open their gates on 3 July in a bid to raise funds for the Hospice.
There will be around 30 gardens open on the day and all of them will be in the town centre within walking distance of each other.
The event, which is sponsored by Ashtons Legal and Bedfords Estate Agents gives people the chance to discover the secret patios, lawns, borders, vegetable gardens, greenhouses and much more besides.
Some of these gardens have been tended for many generations, while others are only now coming to maturity or are still very new. Be prepared to be surprised and inspired.
Tickets are available online or from 10.30am on the day of the event from the St Nic’s gazebo on Angel Hill.
Take part in our raffle
This year, as well as being able to see some wonderful gardens, you could be in with a chance of winning something to help you will your own gardening efforts if you enter our raffle.
The raffle, which will be running on the day, has a top prize of a lawnmower, which has kindly been donated by Bosch Lawn and Garden Ltd.
Tickets will be on sale on event day (July 3) and you’ll be able to purchase them from our gazebo on Angel Hill. Tickets cost £1.
The raffle will be drawn at 5pm on July 3, with winners contacted shortly after.
As well as the lawnmower, Bosch has also donated a cordless pruner, and Neptune has generously donated two browning lanterns. We’ll share further details about other prizes which can be won when we can.
