Pen Selwood 66th Traditional Village Fete - opens at 12 noon
On the borders of Somerset, Dorset and Wilshire, just off the A303, Pen Selwood celebrates 66 years of our traditional Village Fete with treats for all. The Fete will be opened at 12 noon. Many in the queues that form normally head first for Pen's famous White Elephant stalls - these include Vintage, Bric-a-Brac, kitchenware, glassware, homewares, baby needs, etc, etc. Their focus this year is quality over quantity! With plenty of time at home of late to sort cupboards and attics, you can be sure the stalls will be groaning!
As every year, children can enjoy a FREE activity throughout the afternoon ~ Circus Skills (under new ownership). Youngsters are also well catered for with their very own Toy Tombola as well as a Toy stall. Traditional Games and Coconut Shy will also appeal to all young at heart!
The Barbecue fires up from midday. The Beer Tent [offering local guest ales and draught cider plus Pimms, wines and soft drinks] is also available from noon. All your favourites will be there including Books, Bottle Tombola, Cakes, Grand Draw, Plants & Produce, and delicious Pen Teas. Be sure to browse the popular Pre-loved Clothing. Come early to grab the best bargains!
