Come & Sing Baroquery with Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society
Have you missed singing in a choir or just singing with others for the sheer fun of it? After a long-enforced break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society are delighted to invite the local community to join them for a vibrant day of music making. The event is open to all. From experienced singers to beginners, all ages, everyone is welcome. Come and join us to experience the joy of singing this wonderful choral music.
The Come & Sing workshop will take place on Saturday 2 October at The Lighthouse Sheringham. Starting with arrival from 10:00am, the day concludes at 3:00pm with an approximate 45-minute informal concert showcasing the pieces which have been sung during the day. Friends and families are all welcome to the performance.
The workshop will be led by the Society’s musical director David Ballard and accompanied by Philip Adams. The day will be spent exploring a host of baroque choral music from Bach to Vivaldi via Monteverdi. Also, pieces by Handel, Byrd and Purcell. Every person attending will receive a booklet containing all the necessary music for the day.
