Llanymynech Limeworks Heritage Area
Heritage Open Day: Guided walks and Lime-slaking demonstrations The Llanymynech Heritage Area is considered to stretch from the canal side at Llanymynech, the associated kilns, up the tramways which serviced these kilns and to the quarries on the hill. This area is home to a particularly well-preserved and complete group of structures relating to a Victorian Industry, in particular, the Hoffman Kiln represents the best preserved example of its type in England.
