The Annual Treat for the Church
Heritage Open Day: The 'Annual Excursion' was an excuse to visit the seaside, originally in charabancs and later by steam train, in more recent years reverting to the use of coaches. This year the party will be close to home on the lawn outside St. Stephens Church. Visitors are very welcome to come along to the church today in the atmosphere created when church congregations took advantage of the passenger railway from the bottom of town to seaside venues.
