Cannock Mill

Heritage Open Day: There has been a mill on this site since 1600. The present building was constructed in 1845 and in use as both a corn and fulling mill until the late 1940s. Cannock Mill has three storeys with a hoist loft and is weatherboarded. The original Cannock Mill belonged to St Botolph’s Priory and by the early 15th Century was called Kennic, Canwick or Cannock Mill according to various sources. It was purchased and rebuilt in 1600 by Sir Thomas Lucas and for the next two hundred year
