Gordano - Black Nore Lighthouse
Heritage Open Day: 19th century cast Iron and steel Lighthouse. Located on a picturesque point on the Severn Estuary and next to the Portishead to Clevedon coastal footpath. It is a fine example of leading edge technology as used in 1894. Viewing the exterior of the Lighthouse is possible year round from the adjacent public footpath. Park benches and an open grass area allow for the restful enjoyment of the sea air and the beautiful ocean views.
Black Nore Point has also been designated an SSSI
