Jazz at Progress presents Andrew McCormack's Graviton
Live jazz returns to Reading’s Progress Theatre with the internationally acclaimed pianist/composer Andrew McCormack leading his latest and most ambitious project, Graviton.
Described by Jamie Cullum as ‘The highest level of musicianship you could get together in one band,” Graviton embraces a compelling groove-based setting for Andrew's musical ideas and virtuosic improvisations, including vocals and a wide sound world.
Andrew McCormack has built a diverse and hugely successful career with appearances at major festivals and concert halls all over the globe. He is a member of the Kyle Eastwood Band and composed the film scores for Kyle’s father Clint, including ‘Flags of Our Fathers’, ‘Letters from Iwo Jima’ and ‘The Changeling’.
He will be joined by four of the UK’s most exciting and innovative musicians - Noemi Nuti vocals, Josh Arcoleos sax, Tom Herbert electric bass and Joshua Blackmore drums.
‘One of the most exciting bands in Europe today,’ Jean Toussaint
