Songs of Hope

The City of Canterbury Chamber Choir is proud to reintroduce the amateur choral concert to Canterbury with a programme of inspiring and uplifting music to truly banish the memory of the long period during which such activities were silenced.
Their new music director Peter Futcher, ably assisted by organist and pianist Ed Kemp-Luck, will guide an evening featuring Faure's ever popular Requiem, along with shorter works by among others John Tavener, Richard Rodney Bennett, Cecilia McDowall, Bob Chilcott and Will Todd.
In recognition of World Homeless Day, there will be a retiring collection for Catching Lives, supporting rough sleepers, homeless and vulnerably housed people in Canterbury and East Kent.
