Make Salt Dough Decorations

If you're looking to make affordable and simple decorations, then there's nothing easier than salt dough decorations. To make these crafts, all you will need are three basic ingredients from your kitchen cupboard: salt, flour, and water. Once you have made a batch of salt dough, you can easily use it to craft a range of beautiful ornaments, customised to your decorating style and level of expertise.

Christmas decorations, Window hangings, Plaques, Bunting (can be used for any theme)

An online demonstration of different techniques where you can join in and have a go yourself or watch. You will also be sent short videos of demonstrations to keep and recap at your leisure.

What previous knowledge or experience do I need?
No previous knowledge is needed - suitable for beginners and for those with some previous crafting experience.

What materials will I need?
To make dough: Salt, flour, and water

Use of an oven, baking tray and oven gloves (can be baked in your own time after the session)

Cutter, rolling pin (any textured rolling pin), leaves, or a sponge
Paint, acrylic, household paint
Scissors, string, wool or ribbon
Varnish (nail varnish, wood varnish etc)
PVA Glue, glitter, buttons (any embellishments from around your home)
