Featuring Female Creativity: Art from our Collections

Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery announces its first exhibition showcasing works from the collection only exclusively by female artists!

In recent years there has been increasing interest in the representation of female artists within art collections across the world. Of those works within the Museum’s collection only a small but significant amount are by female artists. This exhibition aims to highlight and celebrate these artists. The work spans, watercolour, oils and pastels and ceramics. The subject matter ranges from illustrations to industry from still life to portraiture. Artists on show include Patty Townsend, May B. Lee, Cynthia Chandler and many more.

Councillor Kyle Evans, Portfolio Holder for Public Services stated:
‘This is a great celebration of female creativity plus an amazing chance to see works from the Museum’s collections that have not been on display before!’

Prints of the Museum’s paintings now available to purchase online. Nuneaton Museum & Art Gallery are excited to have partnered with Art UK, the online home for every public art collection in the UK, to sell quality prints of our stunning art collection!
