Haydn's Creation
Salford Choral Society are delighted to return to live performances with Haydn's dramatic telling of the creation story. Haydn’s adventurous harmony exceptional rhythmic and melodic inventiveness bring the narrative to life with an almost operatic vividness and power. Soloists Rachel Abbott (soprano) Philip Clieve (tenor) and Thomas D Hopkinson (bass) represent the Archangels Gabriel Uriel and Raphael together with Adam and Eve. Roderick Barrand accompanies on the piano and the concert is conducted by the Society's Music Director Tom Newall.
Parking: is available at or near the church and the venue is wheelchair accessible.
Covid Safety: We are committed to providing a safe environment for our concerts so we encourage our performers and audience to have a lateral flow test before attending our events. We also encourage mask wearing especially whilst moving around. If you have symptoms of covid please do not attend. Ticket holders who cannot attend due to needing to self-isolate will be issued a full refund. Our programmes will be free and placed on each chair to avoid unnecessary contact. Seating will be distanced at approximately 1 metre.
