Christmas Concert

Chelmsford Singers’ Christmas Concert will be Saturday December 11th at St Andrew’s Church, Melbourne Avenue, Chelmsford CM1 2DT, at 7pm.

Along with the David Pickthall Quartet, they and their musical director James Davy will be performing a selection of festive music for the occasion.

Tickets are £10 adult, £5 students and unwaged, with children under 11 years of age free. They are available from or at the door on the night.

Chelmsford Singers are a choral society with a reputation for producing quality music since 1927, currently numbering around 50 members. James Davy is the Organist and Master of Choristers at Chelmsford Cathedral and has been Musical Director of Chelmsford Singers since 2012.

David Pickthall is an organist, educator, conductor and composer. He was awarded an MBE in 2015. Since retirement from full time teaching he has been busy playing the organ throughout Essex and beyond, adjudicating, conducting/arranging and enjoying current and future musical projects.

The DP Quartet comprises David Pickthall on piano, with Jonny Moore (guitar), Charles Thomson (bass) and Neil Hogan (drums). All three of these fine gentlemen are part of the rhythm section of the David Pickthall Big Band, a musical unit that gives up to nine concerts a year for charity.

Join us for wine, soft drinks and mince pies afterwards.
