Make and Play Baby Social
A creative social for parents and carers with babies 0-9 months:
Enjoy some creative self care time, in the beautiful surroundings of the Shipley Art Gallery .Create a treasure basket, and discover more about creative play with your baby. Meet other parents / carers and babies 0-9 months. What to expect:
For babies - Each week your baby will receive a little present from us, which offers open ended, creative play possibilities. These will be everyday objects which enable your baby to explore different shapes, textures and sounds. We can provide you with a 'treasure basket' to take home, so you can keep the objects in it and continue the creative play with your baby. This is free but must be booked at check out.
For adults - Enjoy some creative, self care time in the relaxing surroundings of the gallery. All creative activities will be suitable for beginners and easy to do whilst looking after a baby. There'll be lots of chat while we get creative, and no pressure to create a finished masterpiece! Every other week you'll make something unique (think cards, drawings, decorations and journals etc.) On the weeks in between, you'll relax with some nature inspired mindfulness colouring in (decorate a pre-printed postcard and write a message to your baby, or a memory of them to look back on in the future).
These sessions are designed for babies who are not yet mobile. We suggest they should be 0-9 months at the time of the first session.
