Highdown Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
Curated by Sir Frederick Stern, these unique chalk gardens are home to rare plants and trees, many from seed collected by Wilson, Farrer and Kingdon-Ward. New visitor centre, supported by National Lottery Heritage Fund, sharing stories of the plants and people behind the gardens. Also new accessible paths, a project to propagate and protect rare plants and a sensory garden with a secret sea view.
For NGS: Wed 16 Feb (10-4.30); Wed 1 June (10-9). Admission by donation. Times:10:00 to 21:00. Open for charity.
