Ferrar House - Open Garden for NGS
A peaceful garden of a Retreat House with beautiful uninterrupted views across meadows and farm land. Adjacent to the historic Church of St John's, it was here that a small religious community was formed in the C17. The poet T. S. Eliot visited in 1936 and it inspired the 4th of his Quartets named Little Gidding. Lawn and walled flower beds with a walled vegetable garden. Games on the lawn.
For NGS: Sun 15 May (10.30-5). Admission £5, Children free. Home-made teas. Times:10:30 to 17:00. Open for charity.
