Cartmell House - Open Garden for NGS
A 2 acre garden, once an empty field, now a wildlife haven. The garden is full of different areas inc a Mediterranean style courtyard, a cottage garden full of flowers, fruit and vegetable garden and places to sit. Paths lead you through a ¾ acre young woodland to a large willow dome, a ¾ acre meadow and an orchard. Birds, mammals, amphibians, insects, and reptiles are encouraged here.
Fri 15 July (9-4). Admission £4.50, Children free. Pre-booking essential, please visit www.ngs.org.uk for information & booking. Home-made teas. Times:09:00 to 16:00. Open for charity.
