Cardinham Gardens - Open Garden for NGS
The rural parish of Cardinham on the SW side of Bodmin Moor has a wide range of eco-systems as the moorland merges into woodland and ancient downs and meadows. May 29th group opening has 2 gardens, The Old School House, a classic cottage garden with beehives, vegetables, flowers, pond and espaliers, and Pinsla Garden with naturalistic planting, stone circle and vegetable garden in peaceful woodland. On July 3rd there are 4 gardens to enjoy. Madderhay with its soft palette of flowers and scented roses clambering over arches, overlooking rolling countryside. Haygrove Cottage at 200m has spectacular views across the valley. It is an informal cottage garden, encouraging wildlife with pond, meadow, vegetables, and flowers.
Sun 29 May, Sun 3 July (11-5). Combined adm £6, Children free. Home-made teas in Cardinham Parish Hall, opp Cardinham Church. Teas from 2pm to 5pm. Times:11:00 to 17:00. Open for charity.
