St Paul's Walden Bury - Open Garden for NGS
Spectacular formal woodland garden, Grade I listed, laid out 1720, covering over 50 acres. Long rides lined with clipped beech hedges lead to temples, statues, lake and a terraced theatre. Seasonal displays of daffodils, cowslips, irises, magnolias, rhododendrons, lilies. wild flowers are encouraged. This was the childhood home of the late Queen Mother. Children welcome. Dogs on leads. Pre-booking available online at ngs.org.uk.
For NGS: Sun 3 Apr, Sun 15 May, Sun 12 June (2-7). Admission £7.50, Children free. Home-made teas. Payment for refreshments only by cash. Times:14:00 to 19:00. Open for charity.
