Morris Dancing ~ North West Clog

We perform traditional and contemporary dances from North West England wearing wooden clogs, as they did in the northern mill towns in years gone by. Loom operators would tap their feet in time to the looms which later developed into street entertainment on high days & holidays wearing colourful uniform.
Dances are performed to live music on traditional free reed instruments and drums adding to the overall attraction of the style of traditional English dancing falling under the heading of &rsq

We practice fortnightly on Thursday evenings in St. Michael & All Angels church hall, 62 Leigh Rd. Leigh on Sea, Essex SS9 1LF. from 8.00.pm.
